Baby Stay & Play Classes

Our stay and play sessions concentrate on parent/carer and child centred activities working to the Government guidelines of ‘Every Child Matters’ and following the EYFS framework.

Stay and Play provides opportunities to broaden children’s horizons and boost their self esteem, providing activities which help children to build relationships with their parents, grandparents, childminders and carers in a fun and relaxed environment.

The Stay and Play sessions are also educational with them emphasis on “learning through play”. We offer a wide range of activities for the children, these include drawing, crafts, play dough, puzzles, access to sensory room or sensory activities (if available), toys for babies and the older children, Lego, messy play, music, role play, phonics, themes (i.e. seasons, colours, Christmas) and many more topics.

What sets us apart from other stay and play providers is My Babytime provide a “Stay and Play learning Journey scrapbook” for each child that attends the sessions. These scrapbooks are an important link towards working in partnership with the parents and carers and they are very simple and easy to use. Each time a child attends a Stay and Play session, with the parent’s permission we add the children’s work, photo’s and observations from both staff and parents. These are a great keepsake for the parents and also map the child’s development over a period of time.

We encourage "a healthy child" by providing healthy snacks and a drink during our sessions and research shows that children settle into their pre-school⁄nursery routines and environment at lot easier when they have attended "Stay and Play" on a regular basis.
